Hotel van Onna is changing !!!
 In January 2016 we will begin renovations on the main building of Hotel van Onna. We will be upgrading all the bedrooms, installing an elevator, and rebuilding the reception and breakfast area. Lots of exciting changes which we hope to have finished in May 2016. During this time the only rooms available are in our Annex building and unfortunately we will not be able serving breakfast. However if it is possible to serve breakfast during the renovation it will be free of charge.

Hotel van Onna

O Hotel Van Onna é um hotel situado no centro do Jordaan, daqui todas as curiosidades são acessíveis a pé.
O hotel contém três casas, bem situadas ao longo da Bloemgracht (Gracht=canal). Um destes prédios é uma casa monumental, em 1644, o prédio do meio (n :104) é uma casa moderna, contendo a entrada principal, a terceira é de origem um depósito velho. Em 1999 o edifício foi completamente renovado, neste mesmo edifício nasceu o fundador, Loek Van Onna, que iniciou o hotel ha mais de trinta anos.

The Jordaan
This colourful, most sung about neighbourhood is famous for its cafés, restaurants, unusual shops, but especially for its atmosphere. With its labyrinth of narrow streets and canals, is one of the most characteristic districts of Amsterdam.
This area was founded in the 17th century when the unprecendented economic flourishing of the city created a huge influx of immigrants from all over Europe. The Jordaan emerged on the western side of the Prinsengracht, a densely-built district with small homes for artisans and artists.
Walking through the narrows streets it seem that you are far away from the busy shoppings areas. But these quiet streets have a lot of small shops, restaurants, bars and galleries.
